Morro Bay-Monday

Sunday we took the time to plan out the week. Since we were going to be there for 5 full days, we had let the kids know that they each family member would have 1 day to plan and be in charge of. Brielle wanted Monday, and took her planning pretty seriously.

One of her top requests was to go see Inside Out.  We went to a theatre in San Luis Obispo, so she planned the rest of the day to spend exploring that area.

The kids were a bit disgusted by bubblegum alley, but when we got home Brielle was reading a magazine that mentioned it and was excited that she had been there.

We also went and explored the San Luis Obispo Mission.

Including the gardens, with the grapes growing on the vines above our heads.

After picnicing at the park and doing some geocaching Brielle decided to change up her original plan of going to Bali's, to try something new.  We had walked past and ice-cream sandwich shop called Batch that looked fun.  You got to choose your cookie flavors (2 different kinds if you wanted) and your ice-cream to go with it.  It was yummy.

We had time went we got back to Morro Bay to head the the beach.  There were about 12 otters close to shore, that were fun to watch.

The kids made some friends and had a great time talking and exploring before we went back to the house for dinner and to watch the USA world cup game.
