Brielle in Europe-May 22

Date: Friday, May 22
Location: Mont St-Michel, Chartres
Mont St. Michel.  It is an abby on top of an island with a small village around it.  Mont St. Michel is famous for its yummy omelettes.  It also reminds me of Harry Potter.  After, we went to Chartres Cathedral.  It is another Notre Dame of Church of our Lady.  It has famous stained glass windows.  They had a tunic that catholics believe that Mary wore when she gave birth to baby Jesus.
This is Mont St. Michel that you can see out on the island.  There is a bridge that connects it to the land.
I liked exploring the Abby.  I learned some interesting things there.
There was a human hamster wheel where people had to go down and roll on it to bring things up like a conveyer belt.  They brought rocks on it to help build the Abby.
The views were really pretty and you saw a lot of water and a little bit of grass growing in the water.  There were tiny bunches of grass all over the place.

From way back, the trees were covering the bottom of the Chartres Cathedral, so you could only see the top, but it was really pretty.
The Chartres Cathedral had really pretty stained glass windows and there were a lot of them.
We stayed at a French farmhouse with cows.  When Gavin said 'Moo' all of the cows came running over.  We got to feed them grass and ferns.  I think they liked the tall grass the best, but they also liked the mint leaves.
